A demolition driveway requires three things that are less critical on a flat plot: extra stabilization of the foundation, the correct material with sufficient grip, and flawless drainage at the bottom of the slope.
On a slope, gravity constantly acts on the paving. Without the proper countermeasures, pavers slide down over time, creating gaps and unevenness. Stones & Green installs a reinforced foundation with extra compaction and places concrete L-profiles (retaining walls) as anchor points at the bottom of the slope. This ensures that every stone remains exactly in place.
Not every material is suitable for a demolishing driveway. Polished concrete can become slippery in rain or frost if the surface is not sufficiently roughened (brushed). Cobblestones, clay pavers, and concrete pavers naturally offer plenty of texture and grip, making them ideal for demolishing driveways. We always advise you on-site regarding the best material choice for your specific slope.
For every demolishing driveway, we install strategically placed drainage grates at the bottom. Without these bones, all rainwater flows from your driveway directly to your garage door or front facade. With the right gutters and grates, the water is neatly drained into the sewer system or an infiltration pit before it reaches your home.

Polybeton past niet enkel bij strakke nieuwbouw. In een landelijke omgeving als Brakel kan een betonoprit net een mooi contrast vormen met de groene, glooiende tuin errond. De naadloze, egale uitstraling van gepolierde beton benadrukt de organische vormen van het landschap. Wel moet het oppervlak op een helling voldoende opgeruwd worden (geborsteld afwerking) om gladheid te voorkomen bij nat weer.

Ja, om aan de verstrengde regelgeving rond ontharding te voldoen, plaatsen wij zeer regelmatig waterdoorlatend steentapijt en bestrating met waterpasserende voegen in de regio Aalst.
